Xiaomi just announced new Mi Notebook pro which looks everything like Apple’s Macbook Pro. The macbook look alike will come with a 1080p 15.6″ display protected by corning gorilla glass 3, a trackpad with force touch similar to that on the Macbook, Ports than the Macbook, and more powerful processors at a prize which is almost $1000 cheaper than the laptops its imitating.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook will run Windows 10 Home which can be unlocked with a fingerprint scanner found at the top right corner of the trackpad. The laptop is not as slim or lightweight as the macbook pro but with its deep space grey color, it’s almost as premium.
Xiaomi’s Notebook pro comes in 3 variants, the most expensive and most powerful will be powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card, 16GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD with support M.2 SATA hard disk expansion. This variant will cost $1,099 and the 8GB RAM variant with same processor and configuration will be slightly cheaper at $980. The more affordable variant will come with Eight-gen Intel Core i5, same graphics card in the high end variant, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD its priced at $859.
Its easy to see what Xiaomi is trying to achieve, their idea to build an affordable but powerful laptop with an almost premium feel will be greatly appreciated. Although this laptop is not as Premium as the Macbook, its price and specs is definitely worth considering.
